Muir Woods Mt. Challenge is a running race on July 18, 2026 in Stinson Beach, CA, featuring the 10K and Half Marathon distances.
From the Organizer
The Muir Woods Mountain Challenge (Formerly Table Rock) is a true competition for event-experienced and novice mountain runners alike. The race starts off with a bang, as you climb 2,000′ in just over 2 miles up the infamous Willow Camp hill. In between the heavy breaths, take in the views of Stinson Beach and the Pacific Ocean along the ridge-line and tight single-track of the Coastal Trail. Make a breathtaking decent using the runner-favorite damp and twisting Matt Davis Trail, where the 10K runners will triumphantly return to the beach. The Half and 30K head back up Mt. Tam, this time along Steep Ravine then continuing for a gorgeous romp through Muir Woods. Once you hit the Cardiac Hill summit, you’ll bomb back down to Stinson Beach along the famous Dipsea Trail, with incredible views – and harrowing steps – along the way. Bring the family and enjoy the best Marin has to offer.
