From the Organizer
Heat, humidity, and the Northshore Trail. How many laps can you throw down when the Texas summer is baking the dirt?
The MTB Free For All: Hell on Wheels is a free, grassroots group training ride designed for one purpose: to help you find out exactly what you are capable of. There are no podiums, no payouts, and no official finish lines. This is just you, the trail, and the clock.
The Format
Cap: Limited to 50 participants, no transfers allowed. Current Club Spinistry members will have first claim on any abandoned entries.
Timing & Tracking: We will provide lap counts and split times for your own personal reference and training data.
The Route: We will provide a recommended route for riders who want to accurately compare their lap counts and split times against others tackling the exact same track.
Staging: Riders will be staged at the start line based on their sign-up times. Register early to secure your spot at the front of the pack.
The Ethos: Self-Supported & Unsanctioned
Treat this exactly as you would a solo training ride. You are entirely responsible for yourself.
Self-Reliance: There is no neutral support. Bring your own hydration, nutrition, and repair kits. You are your own crew.
Not a Race: We can't emphasize this enough—this is not an official race. It is a personal endurance challenge.
Trail Etiquette & Rules
Because this is an open, public trail system, being a good guest is our top priority.
Be Courteous: Observe traditional trail etiquette at all times. Communicate clearly when approaching slower riders, and yield safely when faster riders are approaching you.
Park Rules: Every rider must strictly adhere to all rules of the parks and trails utilized.
Leave No Trace: Do not litter. Pack out exactly what you pack in.
Weather Contingency
If the trail is closed due to weather or poor trail conditions, we will reschedule the event. We respect the dirt and the local trail stewards.

From Endurance Grid
Endurance Grid is here to help you understand the sport, decide if it’s the right fit, and learn how to prepare. For course distances, logistics, and race-day specifics, always defer to the race organizer’s event page.
Cycling events range from casual gran fondos to competitive road races. What they share is the sustained effort of putting miles behind you under your own power.
It's a sport that rewards pacing judgment as much as raw fitness. If you're new to cycling events, a local bike shop fitting is worth the investment.
Gran fondo, century rides, and road races. Built around sustained effort and pacing judgment.
