From the Organizer
This event is a charity community run with all proceeds going towards the Salvation Army. If you are unable to attend the run but would still like the help the cause, there is an option to just donate as well. Please also bring gently used shoes to the race! We will be collecting these shoes to send to the Salvation Army for local people in need. You can find the drop off containers by the main table near the start line.
This year, the run will take place on June 20th at 7:00am. Please show up by 6:50am to check in at the check in table at the Morton High School main entrance on Illinois. The start and finish lines are in front of the main Morton High School entrance on Illinois Ave as well. We ask that you park in the main Morton High School parking lot. After parking, walk along Jackson St and you will find the start line on your left. You can view a course map below with mile and kilometer markers as well as a view of where to park. Restrooms are available inside of Morton High School.
Course Map with Mile and Kilometer Splits
Below is a photo of available parking on race day near the start line. Lots are ranked from 3 stars to 1 star based on ease of parking. We encourage you to park in the Jackson Lot as displayed on the map and walk west on Jackson Street and take your first left on Illinois Avenue. The start line will be right ahead. If that parking is limited, the overflow lots in orange are the next advised location. Note that street parking on Illinois is not allowed on race day. Only volunteers may park on the north side of the start line. Finally, there is a parking lot south of the start line on Illinois. Be aware that this lot is not open to enter or exit while the race is ongoing. From wherever you park, please follow the pink lines displayed on the map below to walk from your car to the start line. Thanks for your cooperation!
