On June 17th at 6:30 PM, runners will gather for the ultimate test of speed, endurance, and stomach strength: the Chocolate Milk Mile.

With four laps to race and four servings of chocolate milk to conquer, competitors will battle through burning lungs, churning stomachs, and fierce competition under the glow of a summer evening. Every lap raises the stakes as runners push their limits, chasing glory while the crowd roars them on.

More than just a race, the Chocolate Milk Mile is a legendary challenge where determination triumphs over discomfort, champions are crowned, and unforgettable stories are made one chocolate-fueled stride at a time.  

Proceeds of the event will be donated to the BsTrong Foundation, Inc.in memory of Todd A. Barton (see below)

What is a chocolate mile you ask? Well, it's a mile race but you must drink a 12 ounce cup of creamy chocolate milk before each lap. That's right, drink a cup of milk run a lap times 4! 

If you are signing up for the 4X400 make sure you create a team name and make a password to share with your teammates. When they sign up to join your team they will need that password to join. If you are joining a team you do not need to make a team name just simply join the team you'd like and enter the private password.

Be sure to sign up for your correct desired division. Divisions and heats may be altered after registration based on the amount of participants.

Todd A. Barton BsTrong Memorial Scholarship Awards

PURPOSE: The purpose of these awards is to assist students who are planning to further his or her education beyond high school. These awards are given in memory of Todd Barton. Todd was a student in the Boyertown Area School District who participated in the Cross Country and Track and Field programs. Todd had a passion for running, making physical fitness and athletics a part of his everyday life. The award applicants must exhibit a capacity for academic achievement, sportsmanship, leadership and living a healthy lifestyle both on and off the track or course.

• AMOUNT AND FREQUENCY: The awards consist of two scholarship grants in the amount of $1,000.00 each. Two awards will be granted annually, as a one-time grant. The awards will be given to students graduating from Boyertown Area Senior High School.

ELIGIBILITY AND SELECTION CRITERIA: To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria at the time of selection:
o Must have participated in the Boyertown Area Senior High School’s Cross Country and/or Track and Field program for at least two seasons.
o Must plan to attend an accredited two or four-year college, vocational, or technical school.
o Must live in the Boyertown Area School District at the time of the award.
o Must complete the attached application in its entirety.

A Selection Committee will determine who receives the awards. In addition, the BsTrong Foundation shall have the right to terminate, modify the standards, and/or modify the selection criteria used to select the winning applicants.

SELECTION COMMITTEE: The Selection Committee shall select the applicants for the awards based on the following selection criteria:
o Academic Achievements
o Sportsmanship
o Healthy Lifestyle
o Leadership

The Selection Committee will include the following individuals:
o At least one employee of the Boyertown Area School District (a coach, teacher, counselor, or other)
o At least two members of the Boyertown Community
o Any additional committee member(s) will be selected by the Barton Family

PROCEDURES:

o Application and essay must be completed and received no later than June 30, 2026. A copy of the candidate’s transcript must be attached to the application. Please email to: wbarton@boyertownasd.org
o The Selection Committee will require a copy of the candidate’s Letter of Acceptance from their chosen accredited post-secondary school. The committee may conduct a personal interview, if necessary.
o The Selection Committee will select the award recipients by July 26, 2026.
o The BsTrong Foundation will notify awarded candidates and their parent(s)/guardian(s) via the emails listed on the application by July 31,  2026.
o The memorial award check will be issued directly to the selected college or school, in the name of the award winner.
