From the Organizer
On Juneteenth we celebrate diversity and inclusion in running with our 7th Annual "Runteenth" Fun Run! Join us and "Courtney Covers Cleveland", on Friday June 19th, Juneteenth, as we celebrate Black runners with a fun run/walk in Cleveland, Ohio and EVERYONE IS INVITED. THIS IS NOT JUST A RUN FOR BLACK RUNNERS…BUT IT IS A RUN TO CELEBRATE OUR BLACK RUNNING COMMUNITY!
Over the last 6 years, we have seen some amazing increases in the number of Black runners, run clubs, etc., and we couldn’t be more pleased…but let’s continue to grow those numbers! We STILL want to see more Black runners with run clubs in our area, and we want to see more Black runners at the large running events.
The day will also highlight several black-owned businesses in the area, as we will have then set up vendor stations. We will meet at 6pm in the courtyard of Intro Cleveland (2407 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, Ohio 44113), take off on our fun run/walk at 6:30pm, and return to the courtyard for raffles, giveaways, and a dance party.
See you there!
