Experience the Gates of Yellowstone Triathlon: Our Second Year of Unforgettable Challenges in the Heart of Wyoming!
Join us for the highly anticipated second year of the Gates of Yellowstone Triathlon, where we introduce a new Half distance alongside our beloved Sprint and Olympic distances. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Buffalo Bill Reservoir and the stunning Shoshone National Forest, this USAT-certified event is a must-attend for triathletes from across the region.
Whether you’re an experienced competitor or tackling your first triathlon, the Gates of Yellowstone provides a challenging yet rewarding experience while immersing you in the unparalleled beauty of the American West. This year, we’re excited to offer three race distances:
Sprint: 750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run
Olympic: 1.5km swim, 40km bike, 10km run
Half Distance: 1.9km swim, 90km bike, 21.1km run
The race will kick off with a refreshing swim in the cool waters of the Buffalo Bill Reservoir, surrounded by awe-inspiring mountain vistas. From there, the bike course will take you through the rolling hills and expansive landscapes of the South Fork Valley, providing both thrilling challenges and scenic rewards. Finally, conclude your race with a picturesque run on a semi-flat course, offering panoramic views of the reservoir alongside the majestic peaks of the Shoshone National Forest.
