The Virginia Beach Lifeguard Association (VBLA) - Junior Guard Ocean Rescue Camp - is committed to teaching the fundamentals of beach safety, first aid and environmental awareness during physically active and fun filled sessions. Campers will learn from and have the opportunity to sit along side current and alumni Virginia Beach Lifesaving Service (VBLS) Lifeguards gaining a true sense of the role, responsibilities, and reward of today’s oceanfront lifesavers.
The camps are five days long and meet in front of the Surf & Rescue Museum at 2401 Atlantic Avenue. The days in session will start at 8:30am and wrap up at 12:00pm. The final day of each session will consist of competition and lunch provided for all of the campers, camp will end on those days at 1:00pm.
