From the Organizer
Common Ground Center & Stone Corral Brewery are teaming up to announce the first ever 5k (and 1k!) walk/run event - Run on Common Ground! Join us on Sunday, June 7th for a morning of fun, play, good-spirited competition, and community.
Our 5k will be held on our site in Starksboro, and will weave through the trails, fields, and between camp cabins. While the 5k will be moderately challenging and officially timed, our family-friendly 1k will be fun for all ages and abilities. Regardless of ability, background, or any other factor, we all run on Common Ground.
The 1k is FREE for all participants, and the 5k is $30 dollars. A taco bar catered by Stone Corral Brewery will be included in registration for all runners, and available by donation for visitors not participating in the run/walk. SCB Brews will be available for purchase after the race on-site.
Never heard of us? Common Ground Center hosts year-round rentals, weddings and intergenerational summer camps in Vermont that bring families together for arts, wellness, and nature activities. The Center offers a wide range of programs for all ages on its scenic Starksboro site. Grounded in our mission, Camp for Everyone, Camp Common Ground is a special place that is WELCOME to ALL.
All the proceeds will go towards scholarships for our various camps - something we offer to over 50% of our participants across camp opportunities. Our mission is Camp for Everyone, and CGC is a special place that we really believe in. We offer programming for families, children regardless of income status, families with autistic children, and other camp experiences, as well as host weddings and rentals for businesses and groups. Support for CGC is support for the community!
