From the Organizer
What If Media Group is happy to announce the fifth annual What If Cares Stephen Golub Memorial 5k. This virtual race will be held in memory of our employee, co-worker, & friend, Stephen Golub, who passed away in 2021. For every employee (and family member) who participates, WIMG will donate $100.00 to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Stephen's honor. If we reach our goal of over 100 participants, we will donate a total of $10,000.00. Let's do the 5k for the $10k!!!
The virtual 5k will take place from 5:00 PM EDT on Friday, June 5th, 2026 - through 11:59 PM EDT on Sunday, June 7th, 2026. Participants can log miles at any time during the specified period - outside or on a treadmill, solo or with a group of co-workers. Individual race times will be reported via our dedicated race website.
For those participants in the New Jersey/New York area who would like to run or walk the 5k together in person, we will meet at the Wild Duck Pond at Saddle River County Park on Saturday, June 6th, at 1:00 PM EDT. If you plan to join us for the in-person event, please notify Mindy Thompson at mthompson@whatifmediagroup.com.
This is a wonderful opportunity to honor the life & memory of Stephen Golub & we encourage as many people to participate as possible. There is no cost to sign up, but to receive a guaranteed race baseball cap prior to the event, you must complete registration by Monday, May 4th. Registration for the race itself will remain open until Thursday, June 4th, 2026. Anyone who registers between May 5th & June 4th will receive their cap after the 5k date.
