Join us for the inaugural Run to the Rhythm Trail 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Northwood High School in Pittsboro, NC! This brand-new event invites runners, walkers, families, and music supporters to come together for a fun and energetic morning on the course. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome, so feel free to bring your four-legged running buddy along!
The 5K trail race features a scenic route through school grounds and surrounding areas, while the 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk is perfect for families, students, and participants of all ages and abilities. Whether you’re racing for a personal best or enjoying a relaxed walk with friends, there’s an option for everyone.
All registered participants will receive an official event T-shirt and goodie bag, along with post-race fun, food, and opportunities for awards and prizes.
Come help us kick off a new tradition in Pittsboro that blends movement and music with community spirit. We can’t wait to run to the rhythm with you!

All participants registered by April 1, 2026 are guaranteed a race t-shirt and swag bag! Participants who register after April 1 may receive a t-shirt or swag bag based on availability. Don’t wait—register early to secure yours!
Course:
The Northwood High School trail course follows the school’s cross country/trail system, featuring a mix of wooded paths, grassy fields, and packed dirt trails. Runners experience gentle rolling hills, flat stretches, and natural terrain, providing a scenic and varied trail running experience. The start and finish are located near the school grounds on the track.
