Grab your speediest shoes and join us for the first annual Matanuska Mile at 6pm on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at the Palmer High School track!
The race is a full mile--1609 meters--which is a little longer than four laps around the track, and it is hand timed. At 5:45pm, competitors will be split into heats according to pace (slower racing first, faster racing last), with a maximum of four heats. The first heat will start at 6pm with additional heats to follow at approximately 15-minute intervals.
Online registration closes at noon, July 23.
All registration fees go to the Palmer High School Cross Country teams.
