Join us for Team APMA Annual's 5K Fun Run at the APMA Annual Scientific Meeting (The National). Set against the scenic backdrop of the Gaylord Opryland Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee, this event unites participants of all ages and fitness levels in support the APMA Educational Foundation's mission of supporting podiatric medical students. Whether you're a seasoned runner or a first-time walker, this event offers a fun and meaningful way to get active and contribute to a meaningful cause. Don't miss the chance to be part of this exciting event!
Thanks to the generosity of APMA members and friends, the foundation awards more than 200 scholarships annually to podiatric medical students, advancing the growth and stability of podiatric medicine. Proceeds from your registration will support student financial aid through the foundation. Scholarships are awarded to eligible third-, and fourth-year podiatric medical students at the accredited colleges of podiatric medicine.
Since its inception, more than 1,900 runners and walkers have participated in the APMA 5K Run/Walk raising more than $200,000. Show your support as we celebrate this milestone!
HOW DOES THE 5K WORK?
1) Register for the event. You can run or walk the 5K onsite at The National. The first 100 race participants will receive a limited edition Team APMA 5K race t-shirt.
2) Arrive 15 minutes early on race day to check in and be sure to wear comfortable shoes.
3) Whether you run, walk, jog, or skip, what matters most is that you are supporting the APMA Educational Foundation and the future of podiatry.
4) Celebrate your accomplishment by posting a picture on social media in your race gear with the hashtag #TeamAPMA.
