From the Organizer
Robbie's Run has been an annual event since 9-year-old Robbie Levine died of sudden cardiac arrest on the little league field in 2005. In memory and honor of Robbie, the Merrick and Long Island Running community come together to run/walk a flat, fast race on the streets of Merrick, while celebrating Robbie's life. The Robbie Levine Foundation raises money to donate lifesaving AEDs to any place where kids play, and to teaching AED/CPR training to anyone who wants to learn! Robbie's Run is a major fundraiser for the foundation. In addition to the 5K, there will be a 1-mile mini run and 1/2-mile children's fun run. In an effort to make this a fun day for all, there will be music, children's activities, raffles, and food!
