From the Organizer
USATF-certified 5K race and fun run benefiting students with special learning needs. This race is put on by the Knights of Columbus Council 10232 and Council 17519 of Madison. 100% of the proceeds goes to Madison City Schools. This is part of a nationwide campaign put on by the Knights of Columbus.
Since we support the whole of Madison City Schools, the race begins and ends at the Madison City Stadium next to the Madison City Schools admin building and runs through downtown Madison. A big shout out to the city of Madison for allowing this, and to the Madison Police Department for supporting the race. As always, our effort is to support Madison schools' intellectual disabilities programs. Know that by participating, you are contributing to your local community. We especially want to give a shout-out to those who have participated in the past and we hope that you will continue to support our race and the students of the Special Education Program of Madison City Schools. If you cannot participate, please do consider offering a donation. Every little bit helps!
"“When we attend to the needs of those in want, we give them what is theirs, not ours. More than performing works of mercy, we are paying a debt of justice.” - St Pope Gregory the Great
