From the Organizer
Greetings, friends! Thank you for your interest in the Ray Coleman Memorial 5K (and 1 Mile Family Fun Run)!
Ray Coleman was a Keansburg legend. In addition to his 4+ decades as a high school science teacher, Ray held positions as high school athletic director, boys and girls basketball coach, state champion bowling coach and state champion cross country coach.
Ray gave everything to the students of Keansburg and now has an opportunity to keep on giving. Every dollar raised will benefit the Keansburg High School Booster Club. The funds will be leveraged by way of collegiate scholarships for student athletes to continue their education.
Join us at 10am on Sunday, September 20th 2026, at Thompson Park in Lincroft, NJ for a family friendly 5K event (and 1 Mile Fun Run) to celebrate the life and memory of Ray Coleman. In addition to the 5K race, we will also include a "tricky tray" basket auction, food trucks, Grateful Dead music and more. Wear your favorite tie-dye to celebrate Ray's love for The Grateful Dead!
Every 5K/1Mile registrant will receive a tie-dye race t-shirt, to be picked up at the race! Sizes range from Youth XS to Adult 3X. Register before August 18th to guarantee a shirt in your size.
Gold/Silver/Bronze Medals will be awarded to race winners, Male and Female, in the following categories:
