From the Organizer
Join us at the Meeks Mountain Trails for another outdoor education event. This beginner-friendly birding experience is led by Michelle Platt and Laura Boggess of the Handlan Chapter of the Brooks Bird Club in Charleston. This engaging session will begin with a short, informal introduction to birding, including tips on getting started, identifying common birds, and useful tools and resources for new birders. After the discussion and a brief Q&A, we’ll head out on the trails for a guided bird walk to put what we’ve learned into practice. Whether you’re brand new to birding or just looking to spend more time outdoors, this is a great opportunity to learn, explore, and connect with nature.
Bring your binoculars, and we will also have a few to share.
This a free event, but donations are welcome.
