
From the Organizer
This is a Memorial Day 5k in memory of Coach Steve Snider, a local running coach, beloved by his local community. Come out and run this race and support a good cause. A portion of the race proceeds will be used for scholarships for Greensburg Salem Education General Endowment in memory of Steve Snider and youth and community health and wellness.
The race will start near Sunset Cafe and end at Offutt Field in Greensburg, taking participants through town, both on the 5-Star Trail and on the road. Runners and walkers are welcome. The running course is all road, and the walking course is part trail. Sorry, but no pets are allowed at this event.
AWARDS WILL BE GIVEN TO RUNNERS ONLY. There will be no awards for walkers.
All participants who register by May 1st at midnight will receive a long-sleeved t-shirt. Late registrations are first come, first served. Only those who pre-registered are guaranteed a race shirt. Refunds are not offered for this event.
The opening ceremony will begin at 8:15 a.m. with the race starting at 8:30 a.m.
FREE kids fun run at 9:30 a.m. with Overall and Age Group awards to follow!
Overall and age group awards will be given for the run category ONLY. No walker awards. Cash prizes for the top 3 male and female overall. $499 for first place, $250 for second place, and $100 for third place. (Athletes vying for prize money must know their eligibility status based on NCAA rules. If you are ineligible and plan to compete, please make the race director/race timer aware at the time of awards)
NOTE: Only sponsorships and donations made by 5/01 will have sponsor logos and donor names on the race shirt/bib. Please make sure your form is in hand at the YMCA by this date.
