From the Organizer
Join us Saturday, September 26, 2026 for our 15th Annual Voices Against Violence 5k walk/run! Packet pick-up and day-of registration starts at 7 am. We will kick off the event together at 7:30 AM with words from local leaders devoted to ending sexual and domestic violence. The race starts at 8 am sharp, followed by medals and raffle drawing at 9:00. The race will have chip timing and results will be available after the race on racewire.com.
Our largest fundraiser of the year, the Voices Against Violence 5k raises the necessary funds to support survivors in the MetroWest community with free, confidential services. Please consider sharing your personal fundraising page or your team's fundraising page with your family, friends and colleagues. With your help, we can provide survivors and their loved ones with the support and services they need.
Sponsoring the Voices Against Violence 5K Run/Walk is a GREAT way to support a critically important cause in your community, while raising awareness of your organization. Contact purplepassion@smoc.org for more information about sponsorship opportunities or to contribute a raffle prize.
Medals will be awarded for the top overall male, female and nonbinary/all gender/agender finisher as well as the top finishers in the age groups.
Online registration will close at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 24th - but race day registration will be available!
We love volunteers! To volunteer at VAV 5k (or with Voices on an ongoing basis), please contact us at purplepassion@smoc.org.
