Fast Track is DRC's eight week summer training program designed to improve strength and speed through effort-based interval and hill workouts. Our program will help you adapt to the heat of a Dallas summer, while providing structure, community and encouragement.
Our workouts will begin at the Norbuck Park parking lot (200 N Buckner Blvd, Dallas) on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7:00 pm.
A training plan will be published for all registered participants at the start of the season. Group assignments are designed to keep runners of similar pace ranges together. Because the workouts are time-based, groups should be finishing the workout at roughly the same time. Having a recent 5K time will be helpful in making a good placement. Please listen to announcements made by your training director at the first week's workout to determine which group will be the best fit for you.
You don't have to have a lot of running experience to participate; runners of all pace ranges, including run/walk, are welcome. The program is a great bridge between spring and fall distance programs as well as an on-ramp to future training blocks.
Please note that registration closes on 6/10/2026 and we cannot make exceptions for late entries. Encourage your runner friends
and family to register before the deadline! Runners must be 18 years old to participate.
In addition to our Fast Track workouts, please consider joining DRC for our summer Social Runs,
every Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm at the White Rock Alehouse and Saturday mornings at 7:00 am at the Pull Through Coffee Bar.
