Catch the Spear-It! The 5k Run and Walk held in beautiful, downtown Silver Lake at the Dune Town Mall is back for another year! The race course follows the lakeshore into the wooded, winding roads of the Upper Silver Lake area, providing beautiful scenery and natural landscapes that end right back at the Dune Town Mall. This year we will be awarding trophies to the top male and female runners as well as medals to the top three runners in each age group. All participants will receive local asparagus. Be sure to preregister to be guaranteed a commemorative T-Shirt!
Race Sponsored by Shelby State Bank
This event was renamed in honor of Ryan Walsworth, who passed away in early 2017. Ryan, a local asparagus farmer, was a faithful contributor and donor to NAF as well as supporting the asparagus and agriculture community here in Oceana County and beyond. We are honored to recognize Ryan's hard work and community spirit through the 5k.
5K Run & 5K Walk - Registration fee is $30
