The Matchstick Amazing Races are an exciting community fitness event taking place during the Wadsworth Blue Tip Festival’s Celebration. Hosted by Great Oaks CrossFit, this event brings athletes, families, and community members together for a fun and unique race experience for all ages and fitness levels.
Participants can choose from three race options:
👟 Option #1: The Matchstick Community 1 Mile (Walk/Run):
Perfect for families, kids, and anyone looking for a fun and active way to be part of the event. Walk, jog, or run together and enjoy the festival atmosphere.
🔥 Option #2: Matchstick 5K Dash:
A traditional 5K with exciting twists along the course that will challenge endurance and keep racers engaged from start to finish.
💪 Option #3: * Matchstick Madness Team Obstacle Course 5K:
Grab a partner and tackle fitness challenges and obstacles together in this exciting team-based race that will test strength, teamwork, and strategy. CrossFit/Hyrox style “obstacles” Burpee broad jumps, stair climbs, lunges, sled pushes, and a few other easy “games” along the way.
Swag/Festival/Community:
All 5K participants will receive race SWAG including a custom event T-shirt, finisher medal, and participants will enjoy the incredible energy of the Blue Tip Festival surrounded by vendors, music, and community celebration.
This event is made possible through the support of local sponsors and community partners who help bring this exciting race to life while supporting youth fitness and community wellness in Wadsworth.

T-Shirt:
We offer Youth Small to X-Large & Unisex Small to 2X-Large. We also offer a no shirt option for a $5 discount. To be guaranteed a shirt size please register by June 14, limited selection will be available after the cutoff date.
