The Macklind Mile Story:
The Macklind Mile is more than just getting outside…you can run fast or stroll slow…you can race to compete or move to complete. There will be music, food and activities following the short one mile course which makes it perfect for hanging out in the streets of South City St Louis with other kids and kids-at-heart. Keep in touch with us on our Facebook page.
If this is your first time at the Macklind Mile, know this: it’s a one mile distance that everyone can do regardless of running or walking, and the post-race party is just as important as the distance covered! You can come to run the downhill, one mile course to try and set a personal record, or you can walk it with your family pet – but either way you’re partying at the finish line!
In 2026, the Macklind Mile will play host to the RRCA 1 Mile National Championships! We look forward to continuing to host their great events.
ELITE RUNNERS: A prize purse of up to $3700 will be on the table for Elite Events!
