From the Organizer
It's hard to believe this family-friendly race has been going and growing for 9 years! Thank you for continuing to support our mission to feed hungry families and reduce food waste.
The 3k out-and-back course, and 5k loop course, will be within Minto-Brown Park along shaded, hard-surface paths. The start and finish lines will be at the south end of Parking Lot 3 near the covered picnic area. Please review the course maps located under the Race Info tab at the top of this webpage.
There will be No Official Timing at this event. Our focus is on providing a safe, fun, family event where you can run, walk, hop, skip, or jump your way through the course with friends and family to support the work and mission of Salem Harvest.
Two options for Packet Pick up (race bib, race shirt, swag, ...)
Friday, June 26, from 4pm - 6pm at Gallagher Fitness Resources - 135 Commercial Street NE, Salem Oregon
Saturday, June 27, from 8am - 9:15am at Minto-Brown Island Park - 2200 Minto Island Rd SW SE, Salem Oregon - near parking lot 3.
All funds earned will be used to help Salem Harvest gather fresh produce from local farms that would go to waste and make it available for hungry families in the Willamette Valley. The harvested crops would be left in the fields to rot unless it is saved by quick working volunteers. These fruits and vegetables are perfectly delicious but not usable by growers. So... Salem Harvest volunteers Race to the fields to Save the Harvest and get this unused resource into the community!
Event t-shirts will be included with registrations being made before June 5th. Entry fees increase and shirts won't be available when registering on June 5th or later. Register early to get the best price and the swag you need!
Raffle prizes - Fabulous raffle prizes will be available to win! Each participant will receive one ticket and can choose which prize they would like to win. Simply fill in the information on the ticket, and at the race starting area, drop it in the jar for the prize you want to win. A winning ticket for each prize will be drawn shortly after the race - at about 10:35am. You don't have to be present to win.
Want to increase your odds of winning? At the race you will be able to purchase additional tickets! For just $1 per ticket or $5 for seven tickets, you could really increase your chances AND help feed more hungry families. Explore the list of prizes HERE.
Ima Blueberry will be in attendance! We can't have a Race to Save the Harvest without our favorite celebrity - Ima Oregon Blueberry - cheering everyone on and sharing the goodness of Oregon's favorite fruit. Come down to the park to visit Ima and cheer with her for participants along the course! Everyone is welcome!
Yard games, bicycle-blended smoothies, snacks, and community informational booths will be at the race too. Come join the FUN!
