Get ready for a vibrant, high-energy race experience at the Pride 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run! This celebration is all about community, inclusivity, and showing your colors with pride. Whether you're racing for a personal best or enjoying a fun walk with friends and family, this event promises an unforgettable experience full of joy and movement. 🏳️‍⚧️🌈✨

English: Join us for the Rio Grande Valley's first ever Pride 5k! Hosted by the RGV Queer Run Club, the proceeds of this race will benefit South Texas Equality Project (STEP).

The Pride 5K is more than a race. It’s a declaration of love and solidarity for the LGBTQ community. It’s a space we've built for ourselves and for each other rooted in the belief that everyone deserves to be seen and supported. For many queer and trans people, existing in the world as our authentic selves can feel unsafe, and running together changes that. We are part of the Rio Grande Valley, and we deserve to enjoy its trails, nature, and public spaces with pride and joy.

This is our home. This is our Valley, too.

To mark the one year anniversary of our run club, we return to where it all started: at the Mission Hike and Bike Trails. Join us for this historic event on Saturday, June 27, 2026, to celebrate our Pride!

This is a timed event by Puro 9:56 Racing. Participants are encouraged to go at their own best pace by running, jogging, or walking. All registered participants will receive a T-Shirt and medal. The top three winners of each category (female, nonbinary, male, 17 and under teens and kids overall) will be recognized with an additional medal.

Pride 5K es más que una carrera. Es una declaración de amor y solidaridad con la comunidad LGBTQ. Es un espacio que hemos creado para nosotros mismos y para los demás, basado en la convicción de que todos merecemos vivir auténticamente y apoyados. Para muchas personas queer y trans, vivir en el mundo siendo nosotros mismos puede causar inseguridad y miedo, y correr juntos cambia eso. Somos parte del Valle del Río Grande y merecemos disfrutar de sus senderos, su naturaleza y sus espacios públicos con orgullo y alegría.

Este es nuestro hogar. Este es también nuestro Valle.

Para conmemorar el primer aniversario de nuestro club de corredores, volvemos al lugar donde todo comenzó: Mission Hike and Bike Trails. ¡Únete a nosotros en este evento histórico el sábado 27 de junio de 2026 para celebrar nuestro Orgullo!

Este es un evento cronometrado por Puro 9:56 Racing. Animamos a todos los participantes a ir a su propio ritmo, ya sea corriendo, trotando o caminando. Todos los participantes inscritos recibirán una camiseta y una medalla. Los tres primeros clasificados de cada categoría (mujeres, no binario, hombres, jóvenes de 17 años y menores) serán reconocidos con una medalla adicional.

This is a sold out event with more than 500 registered participants. Please plan ahead to ensure you arrive on time for packet pick up and race day!

🌅 Arrival Recommendation: Please arrive by 6:30 a.m. (no later) to allow time for parking, stretching, and warmup.

📦 Packet Pickup in Brownsville (New!)
📍 Location: 7th and Park (1554 E 7th St, Brownsville, TX 78520)

⏰ Time: 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Packet pickup is for all registered participants (5K & 1 Mile) to pick up bibs and shirts.
