From the Organizer
Get ready to turn the prairie into a living canvas. This isn't your average race; it is a vibrant celebration of the people and the spirit that make our community so unique. Painted Prairie is a community rooted in kindness, and this event is the perfect opportunity to come together to mark our neighborhood’s identity with a kaleidoscope of color and connection.
Our journey begins at the scenic High Prairie Park. As you make your way along the route, you will pass through several color stations where you will be doused in bright, eco-friendly powders, symbolizing the diverse and colorful lives that weave our community together. Whether you are sprinting, jogging, or taking a leisurely stroll with your neighbors, the goal is to share a laugh, lift each other up, and create lasting memories.
Best of all, your participation extends that neighborly spirit far beyond our boundaries. In true Painted Prairie fashion, all registration fees for the race will directly benefit Laradon, an incredible local non-profit dedicated to empowering children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Founded in Denver in 1948 by Joseph and Elizabeth Calabrese after their own sons were denied a public school education, Laradon has spent over 75 years pioneering inclusive education, support, and training. By joining the race, your registration fee acts as an act of kindness that directly supports their mission to help individuals reach their full potential.
The finish line awaits at Town Center Park, but the fun is just getting started. Your colorful arrival coincides perfectly with the opening of our Open-Air Market. Stick around to support local vendors, celebrate the beautiful mess we made together, and give back to an amazing cause. Let’s show everyone exactly what it means to live life in full color and full kindness.
