From the Organizer
This isn’t just a race — it’s a mission. (as crazy as it might seem)
On June 13th, step into a one‑of‑a‑kind endurance challenge honoring freedom, sacrifice, and America’s 250th birthday… with grit, determination and just a touch of insanity.
Every step you take supports the Semper Fi Fund, providing critical assistance to wounded, ill, and injured service members, veterans, and their families. Your miles will have meaning.
WHAT’S A BACKYARD ULTRA?
A battle of will, strategy, and mental toughness — not speed.
Every hour on the hour, you will run a 4.14‑mile loop. You have a one hour time limit to complete the loop. Finish in time? You earn the right to run again. All you need to do is make it to the start line at the top of the hour before the bell rings and you are off on your next adventure. We continue, on the hour every hour, until only one runner makes it to the start line to start the next loop. "The Last Runner Standing".
Miss the cutoff? Your race ends. But your pride will be intact!
That’s the magic: it’s your race to run. One loop or twenty — you choose your challenge.
Set a mileage goal. Shoot for a milestone. Chase a breakthrough. Go for the win. There are no losers at the Last stand… just some runners who last a little longer and go a little further.
Encouragement will be the word of the day!
Can you dig deep enough to say “ONE MORE LOOP”?
