Our 4th Annual Firecracker 10K & 5K Race and 5K Fun Run & Walk are out and back events held entirely on the paved Great Guernsey Trail. There will also be music, food, and entertainment! This will be a bib timed race with timing services provided by Muskingum Multisports.
Proceeds from the race will go towards supporting the many programs and projects of the Guernsey County Community Development Corp., a local 501(c)3 non-profit committed to our community’s quality of life. By providing recreational and educational opportunities for our area residents, the CDC is helping to make Guernsey County a great place to live and work! RACE COURSE:
The 10K and 5K Race & 5K Fun Run & Walk are out and back events held entirely on the paved Great Guernsey Trail. The route starts at the Cambridge end and follows the trail to each turn around and then returns to the trail head. This is a scenic, traffic free route that follows Leatherwood Creek. There will be water at the turnarounds as well as refreshments and food at the finish line.
AWARDS:
Unique Trophies will be issued to the top three overall finishers and medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each of the following age categories: 14-under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+ Walkers are welcome! Finishers’ medals will be awarded to ALL participants!
EARLY PACKET PICK-UP & RACE DAY REGISTRATION:
Race Day registration and Packet pick-up will be at the registration building located at 63500 Corduroy R. Cambridge, Ohio - starting at 6:30 a.m.
RACE PACKETS:
Your race packet will include a T-shirt with race logo, swag and more. All participants registered by June 19th are guaranteed a race T-shirt.

5k run $35.00 through July 3rd – Day of Entry $40.00
10k run $40.00 through July 3rd – Day of Entry $45.00

The 10K is the distance where running stops feeling like a starting point and starts feeling like a sport. Long enough to require a real training block. Short enough that race day is fully manageable for a first-timer who's put in the work.
