From the Organizer
The Gary Blum Memorial 5K is held in honor of a beloved youth leader who made a lasting impact on everyone he met. Gary had a passion for investing in young people, always showing up with encouragement, humor, and a heart to serve. He created a place where students felt welcomed, valued, and supported.
Gary lived by the motto, “Have faith like a child,” and he truly embodied that in the way he lived—loving deeply, trusting fully, and finding joy in the simple things. He loved hiking the outdoors, playing volleyball, enjoying a good ice cream, and most of all, sharing his love for Jesus with others.
This race is more than just a run—it’s a celebration of Gary’s life and the legacy he leaves behind. Whether you’re running, walking, or cheering others on, you’re helping carry forward the faith, joy, and compassion Gary shared with so many.
All proceeds will go toward supporting youth programs and continuing the work Gary cared so deeply about.
