The 20th Annual Freedom 5K Fun Run will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2026 in St. Germain. The event is sponsored by the St Germain Silent Trails organization with all proceeds going towards the maintenance and development of the Town of St Germain non-motorized trails, including Fern Ridge Trail, Awassa Trail, and the 12-mile paved bike and hike trail. These trails provide year-round biking, hiking, snowshoeing, fat biking, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing opportunities to visitors and residents.

Course: The event begins and ends at the St Germain Community Park, and heading on to the snowmobile trail and then heading into the Awassa Trail system. This is a true trail run featuring mostly flat, packed dirt, grass or gravel trail of varying width, winding through scenic woods. Click here for a map of the run/walk
