Juneteenth Heritage 5k
Join us on Saturday, June 20, 2026, for the Juneteenth Heritage 5K at Hope Park in Joplin, Missouri. This meaningful community event celebrates freedom, heritage, resilience, and unity while bringing people together through health, wellness, and active living. Hosted by the East Town Dreams District, the Juneteenth Heritage 5K provides an opportunity to honor the significance of Juneteenth while enjoying a welcoming atmosphere for runners, walkers, families, and community supporters alike.
Beginning and ending at Hope Park, the course winds through Joplin's historic East Town neighborhood and Landreth Park, highlighting an area rich in community history and pride. Whether you're chasing a personal best, walking with friends, or participating to support the celebration, this event is designed to bring people together in a spirit of remembrance, progress, and community connection.

Juneteenth commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and serves as a celebration of freedom, culture, achievement, and community. The Joplin Juneteenth Celebration continues to grow each year as a gathering that honors the past while inspiring future generations through education, fellowship, and community engagement.
