Step back in time and be part of history at El Paso’s exclusive Desert Mountains “Ordinary" Bicycle Race where Victorian elegance meets modern-day action. This unique event brings together cycling enthusiasts, history lovers, and spectators for an amazing display of skill, style, and high-wheel excitement.
Whether you're riding, sponsoring, or attending as a distinguished guest, this is more than just a race — it's a once in a lifetime experience. Expect a festive atmosphere at San Jacinto Plaza and the rare sight of these iconic high-wheel bicycles rolling through the Sun City.

This is a family friendly event, and we invite you to participate in the “Little Riders Pedal Party” intermission event between 11:00 and 11:45. Your children will have the opportunity to ride the “race course” one time around.

This is a criterium race on antique-style, high-wheel bicycles with two 20-minute heats, followed by a 30-minute championship race. The course is one city block adjacent to San Jacinto Plaza in the heart of downtown El Paso.
