From the Organizer
New for this year, the Burro Buster 5K takes runners on an exciting tour of Fairplay's River Park Trail, combining historic downtown streets, scenic trails, and beautiful mountain views. Starting and finishing in front of the Hand Hotel, participants make their way past Town Hall to join the River Park Trail for an adventure looping through the river corridor. The course winds along dirt and gravel trails with views of the Mosquito Range, loops around the Fairplay Beach campground, and showcases some of the community's most scenic natural areas. You will enjoy a mix of pavement, natural-surface trail, hills, a lack of oxygen (9,953' above sea level!), and fun!
There will be NO water station on course. Water will be available at the beginning and end of the race.
This event benefits the Town of Fairplay Scholarship Fund.
