From the Organizer
The Blueberry Pie 5K and the exciting Challenger 1 Mile Run is designed for people of all abilities to participate and enjoy the thrill of crossing the finish line. The course starts and finishes at the Cape Cod Cooperative School / Cape Cod Challenger Club at 418 Bumps River Road and takes runners through a beautiful rolling course through Osterville. This race is chip timed on every runner's racing bib. The race course is USA Track & Field officially measured but not officially certified; unfortunately, no world records can be set on our course.
Blueberry Pies from Centerville Pie Company are the prizes for both Overall and Category winners. Additional categories this year are "Fastest Under 8 year old mile on Cape Cod" and "fastest team or family". We also give prizes to every 20th finisher up until the 500th finisher. This race gives you the best chance to win a prize and have a great time supporting a really great cause.
Participants ages 7 and under and 80 and over run the 5k for free! Discount will be applied when you check out. The night before the race, Friday, June 26th from 5-8pm we will have early race bib and t-shirt pick-up at the starting line. Please pick up your race bibs and t-shirts Friday, if possible. It helps make race day easier for everyone and is appreciated.
Race day bib pickup starts at 7:30 am.
Space is limited to 10 competitors in each of the three divisions.
Juniors: Ages 12 and under will be eating 1/2 of a SMALL blueberry pie.
Masters: Ages 13 and above, men's divisions will have to eat a complete SMALL blueberry pie. The women’s division will also eat 1/2 of a SMALL blueberry pie. The pies are 6 inches in diameter.
Winners get a Trophy and t-shirt.
Every pie-eating contestant will get a baseball hat just for having the courage to sit down at the competition table.
