From the Organizer
The 13th annual Nicholas Fillinger Memorial Run will be held on July 18, 2026 on the beautiful campus of St. Bernard Prep School in Cullman, Alabama. Nicholas died tragically in a training accident in September 2013. St. Bernard was one of his favorite places to run. This run honors his memory with a run in one of his favorite places but also provides a team challenge (minimum of 5 runners but may be coed). Nicholas loved the team aspect of cross-country. The best way to honor his memory is to form a team and come compete.
The run benefits the Nicholas Fillinger Foundation that serves to provide educational opportunities, scholarship award, and encouragement to persevere through the trials of life.
Each step you take in the Nicholas Fillinger Memorial Run is more than a stride toward the finish line — it’s a tribute to a life that continues to inspire, unite, and uplift our community. This special event honors the memory of Nicholas Fillinger by bringing together family, friends, and community members to celebrate the fruit of Nicholas' life and the family, friends, and community he loved dearly and deeply.
Whether you're running for a personal best at St. Bernard or walking alongside friends, your participation helps us remember Nicholas’s legacy and support a cause that makes a meaningful difference. Lace up, show up, and be part of something bigger — a day of encouragement, remembrance, and community spirit.
Run with heart. Run with purpose. Run like Nicholas and give all the glory and praise to God.
