
From the Organizer
A group of senior high students set out to raise funds for the local animal shelter, Orphans of the Storm. After spending an afternoon there, they saw firsthand how overcrowded the facility was and recognized the urgent need to complete the new shelter so it could open as soon as possible. Partnering with staff and junior high students at Armstrong High School, they formed the Armstrong Riverhawks Rally for Rescues committee.
The event is May 22nd, rain or shine, at the Worthington Fire Hall, 171 Linton Alley, Worthington, PA. Along with a 2K/5K, other community-focused activities are planned, including:
After expenses are paid, all money will be donated to Orphans of the Storm animal shelter of Armstrong County.
The students have exclusively planned, organized, and will hold this event. They have done an amazing job being motivated, planning, and coordinating this event! Come and support our students and our community!
