17th Annual Williamsburg Landing 5k Run/Walk for The Arc

This year marks the 50th year The Arc of Greater Williamsburg has proudly served adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Williamsburg community. The Arc's support services provide educational, vocational, health and wellness, life skills, cultural, social, and recreational programs. In addition, we provide much needed respite for families and caregivers. Your participation in this event helps make that possible! 100% of event proceeds benefit The Arc of Greater Williamsburg's mission to improve the quality of life for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our community. We invite you to visit our website at www.thearcgw.org for more information about The Arc!

 

REGISTRATION:

The registration is $40 per entrant and increases to $50 on Saturday, September 5th. Registered entrants aged ten and under are free. Online registration closes at midnight on Sunday, September 27th. Same day registration begins at 7:30am at Williamsburg Landing. Credit cards, cash, and checks (made out to The Arc of Greater Williamsburg) are accepted at the race. Raffle tickets for amazing prizes will be sold! All entrants registered by September 14th will receive a T-shirt in the requested size. All others will receive T-shirts IF available. 

 

SCHEDULE:

7:30am: Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup 
8:30am: One Mile Fun Run
9:00am: 5k Run and 5k Walk
10:15am: Awards Ceremony and Door Prizes

 

COURSE:  

Nestled in the tree covered hills surrounding Williamsburg, this out-and-back course traverses the 137 acre campus of Williamsburg Landing, which neighbors College Creek. Registration will be at the William A. Doig Health Club and Spa, located at 3000 The Mall.  

 

PARKING & SHUTTLES:  

Parking will be at Laurel Lane Elementary School, 112 Laurel Lane, across from Williamsburg Landing.  Please watch for signs and volunteers directing traffic.  Shuttles will be available to take you to and from the William A. Doig Health Club and Spa.

 

REFRESHMENTS:  

Light snacks, fruit, and water will be provided. Pizza will also be available courtesy of Anna's Brick Oven Pizza!

   

AWARDS:  

Prizes will be awarded for top finishers in different age categories.

While your registration is an incredible way to support The Arc, we also invite you to make/join a team or participate in fundraising! Making or joining a team is a great way to help us spread the word and make the 16th Annual event the largest one yet!

• Children 10 and under are free and it will automatically apply. 

• For Arc clients, use code CLIENT at the final check-out screen for $20 registration. Please note this code is for the Arc client ONLY, and should not be used by family and friends. 

• For middle, high school, and college students, use code STUDENT at the final check-out screen for $20 registration.
