Kingswood Recreation Association is hosting our 10th annual 5K fun run and walk and a 1 mile fun run for kids! The event will be held Saturday June 6, at 8:30 and 8:00 am respectively. All race participants may spend the day at Kingswood Pool after the race. The race proceeds will benefit Kingswood Pool and Recreation Association. The 1 mile fun run begins at 8:00 am and the 5K run/walk begins at 8:30 am. The awards will be held at 9:45 am with 90+ awards. This race is a Colonial Road Runners Grand Prix Event.
Awards: Awards are given to the top three overall men and women, to the top three in five year ages groups from 14 and under to 70 and over. Awards are also given to the top three men and women in the walk division.
T-shirts: T-shirts and exact sizes are only guaranteed to entrants who register by Wednesday, May 27, 2026. After May 27, shirts are first come, first served, while supplies last.
Kingswood Pool 5K Run Course
Start and finish - pool asphalt driveway at "No Parking" sign, close to the clubhouse. Runners congregate on the wide area of the parking lot.
Right on Spring Road.
Left on West Kingswood Drive to very end of road out-and-back, with one cul-de-sac to the right on Regency Court, necessary to make our 3.1-mile distance for the 5K.
Right on Spring.
Right on Oak Road to end of road out-and-back.
Right on Perry (side street) on way back.
Left on Holly Road.
Diagonal crossing of Spring to Right on Kingswood Drive.
Right on Dover Road.
Left on Oxford Road for one block.
Left on Kingswood Drive.
Right on Spring.
Right into pool entrance. And continue on gravel, then asphalt, driveway to the pool clubhouse and sign. Distance 3.105 miles for 5K.
One Mile Fun Run
For the one mile fun run:
1) Go out the pool sidewalk/pathway to Kingswood Drive, and do the Kingswood Drive/Dover Road/Kingwood Drive loop (a portion of the 5K course), with a brief out-and-back to just before Spring Road, returning by the same concrete sidewalk to the finish. Same start/finish line as 5K.
