Join us as we wrap up the end of the school year at the first Down to the Wire 5K & Fun Run on May 17, 2026, at Wire Park! This event hosted by NG3 is a great opportunity for families, students, and the community to come together for a fun and active afternoon. All proceeds will benefit Oconee County Schools and NG3, supporting programs that make a difference for local students. The 1-mile Fun Run begins at 3:00 PM, followed by the 5K race at 3:30 PM. Come out to run, walk, and celebrate the start of summer together!
Registration on or before May 4, 2026 will guarantee a t-shirt. Registrations after this date may or may not receive a t-shirt based on availability.
Time:
2:30 PM - Race day registration and packet pick-up OPEN
3:00 PM - 1Mile Fun Run Start
3:30 PM - 5K Race Start
Awards:
For 5K race - Top 3 overall male and female. Top 3 Male/Female in the following age groups: 8 & under, 9-14, 15 - 19, 20 - 29, 30 - 39, 40 - 49, 50 - 59, 60 - 69 & 70+.
Pricing:
5K - $25 until 5/8/26 and $30 after 5/8/26
1 Mile Fun Run - $20 until 5/8/26 and $25 after 5/8/26
