The 31st Annual Museum of Aviation Foundation Marathon, Half-Marathon, 5K Run/Walk, and Para Athletes Race will be held at the Museum of Aviation on Saturday, March 13, 2027. The races will be ran on Robins Air Force Base next to the Museum of Aviation and are part of the 2027 Run & See Georgia Grand Prix Series. The marathon course is USA Track and Field certified (Boston Marathon qualifier). The half marathon is also USA Track and Field certified. Proceeds from the growing annual event benefit the Museum of Aviation, one of the largest aviation museums in the country.
Awards are given to the overall top three male and female finishers in each race, the overall top three male and female masters in each race, the top active duty military male and female only in the marathon and the top three finishers in age categories. Only Marathon and Half Marathon runners will receive a finisher’s medal.
Registration for in person events will end on Thursday, February 25 at 11:59 PM. There will be no walk- up registration. Participants who register by December 31st are guaranteed a shirt on race day. Runners registered after December 31st are not guaranteed a shirt. Race packets will be available for pickup on Friday, March 12, 2027 2-4:30pm and on Saturday, March 13 starting at 7am. Registered runners are solely responsible for their packet pickup and race start time.
Virtual race options will be offered for those unable to attend the in-person event. Virtual participants will receive a T-shirt and race packet if registered by December 31, 2026. Virtual packets can be picked up on Friday, between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. at the Museum Century of Flight Hangar. If you wish to have your race packets mailed to you, there will be a postage fee required at the time you register for the race. Race packets will be mailed within two weeks after the race. Please do not opt out of receiving emails from this race because important information will be sent out prior to the start of the event. Please make sure your address is current in your RunSignUp account.
IMPORTANT:
Because the races are run on Robins Air Force Base, all runners are REQUIRED to show a valid ID when picking up race packets. “By providing information required for sign up, you acknowledge and agree to the use of your information for a Criminal Background Check to verify your identity, in accordance with United States Air Force Instruction 31-118, Installation Access and Control, and Robins Air Force Base Instruction 31-101, Installation Defense Plan.”

Race day energy varies by event size, but the finish line feeling is the same regardless. Big races keep the noise going the whole way. Smaller races give you stretches where it's just you and the miles — and that solitude becomes its own kind of fuel.
The half marathon rewards people who show up for the boring training miles.
How long to train: 10–14 weeks. If you're already running consistently, 10 weeks of structured buildup is enough. If you're building from a casual base, give yourself 14.
From 5K to marathon, running races are the most accessible entry point into endurance sport. There's a distance for every fitness level and a community at every start line.
