Join us on Sunday, July 5, 2026, for the 46th Annual Narbona Pass Classic.  Escape to the cool high pines and clean mountain air for a challenging race through difficult forested terrain and a relaxing atmosphere.  Just a few reasons to spend your Fourth of July weekend at Narbona Pass in the Chuska Mountains.  The mid-day temperature averages 70 degrees in the 9,000 feet elevation, providing excellent running conditions.

Early Bird Registration is open!  Secure your spot and enjoy special pricing. 

The 5K and 10K races will be capped at 400 participants for each event and will go quickly.  

Pre-Race 

1.     Online registration only.   There will be no in-person registration at packet pick-up or on race day.  Everyone will be required to register online prior to attending packet pickup.  NO REFUNDS.

2.    Registration fees for 5k and 10k are as follows: 

Early Registration (Until 5/1/26) $25

Late Registration (After 5/1/26) $30

Late Registration (After 6/1/26) $35

*Transfer fee: $5.00 before registration closes on July 3rd and no transfers after this date.

3.    Registration will close on Thursday, July 2nd, 2026, at 6pm.

4.     The 5k and 10k races will be capped at 400 per event.

5.     Early Packet pickup at two locations.   

  • First one in Farmington at Southwest Runners (4250 E Main St. Ste J, Farmington, NM 87402) on Friday, July 3rd, 11am – 4pm. 
  • The second one in Gallup on Saturday, July 4th, 9am – 2pm.  Location TBD.
  • Or Saturday, July 4th, at Narbona Pass picnic grounds after 5pm and again, 
  • Sunday morning, race day from 6:30-7:45am.  

You may pick up packets for other runners with their permission.  

Race Day Venue

1.     There is no in-person race day registration at the race venue.

2.     The 10k will start at 8am and the 5K starting at 8:25am.

Post-Race 

  • Water and refreshments (watermelon, and granola bars) will be available.
  • Post-Race Awards.  All participants will receive a finishing medal when they cross the finish line.  Results will be presented and posted after the races have completed.  Awards will be presented to overall and age-group winners in each event.
