One of the flattest courses you’ll ever run and a great race to strive for a personal record (PR)! The Healthy Tilghman 5K or 1 Mile Run/Walk is a chip timed event held on scenic Tilghman Island surrounded by beautiful water views. The race is an out and back course that starts and finishes at the Black Walnut Point Park at 4787 Black Walnut Point Rd, here the 5K course heads out along the breakwater into the surrounding farmland, past a historic church and then back to the park. While the 1mile course route follows along a quiet scenic shoreline.
Proceeds from the event support Healthy Tilghman, a non-profit that provides health-oriented programs, including counseling and substance abuse services, for the Bay Hundred region.
RACE INFO
- Check in and day of registration starts at 8:00 am and the 5K begins at 9:00 a.m., followed immediately by the 1 mile walk.
- The 5K will be chipped timed by TCR Event Management and results will be posted immediately after the race.
- Awards will be given for the 5K to Overall Male and Female finishers and to the Overall Masters Male and Female.
- Age group awards will be given in the 5k to the 1st through 3rd place winners as follows:
Ages: 10 and under; 11-20; 21-30; 31-40; 41-50; 51-60; 61-70; 71-80; 81 and over.
