SNEAKERS ON THE GROUND 5K RUN/WALK
Date & Starting Time: Saturday, May 30, 2026
Race day registration will begin at 7:15 am
5K begins at 8:15 am.
1/2 Mile Fun Run at 8:00 a.m.
The race starts and finishes at Bill Cockrell Park, 4109 Pines Road, Shreveport, LA 71119
Registration:
Early Bird Special = $20 until April 22nd
Regular Registration Fee = $25 April 23rd through May 29th
Race Day Registration Fee = $30 on the day of the race on May 30th
Kids ½ Fun Run - $10.00
Sofa Supporter = Can’t make it May 30th? Don’t feel like running? Just want to hang and support the 5K? You can still support Sneakers on the Ground with a Sofa Support Registration of $25 (includes t-shirt) or $20 (no t-shirt). ***When registering click "I do not want a race shirt" and it will take $5 off your registration.
When registering you can choose either a t-shirt or a towel with your registration.
The options are in a drop down menu and towel is at the bottom, so if you would like a towel make sure you pick towel at the bottom of the list.
Packet Pick-Up: Race shirts:
This year you get a choice of either a short sleeve tee t-shirt or a towel.
Please select your preference when registering.
Packet pick-up will be held at Sportspectrum
Thursday, May 28th from 12 pm-6 pm
Friday, May 29th from 10 am-5:30 pm.
You may also pick up your packet on May 30th at the race site beginning at 7:15 am. An original “Sneakers on the Ground” t-shirt will not be guaranteed to anyone who registers after May 15th.
Age Groups and Awards:
5k -Overall Male and Female will receive an award. 1st and 2nd Place Winners in each adult age group will receive an award. 10-under, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+
1/2 mile fun run - 1st , 2nd and 3rd Place Winners will receive an award in the Kids 1/2 Mile Fun Run.
After-Party: Be sure to stay after the race for refreshments, awards and Omega Community Appreciation Cookout.
Special Note: Strollers, wagons, baby joggers, and any hand-pushed or pulled vehicle WILL BE ALLOWED on the course - but at a walk pace capacity only. Absolutely NO in-line skates, roller skates or runners with baby strollers will be allowed on the run course. This rule is an RRCA regulation!
