From the Organizer
Saint Mary of the Nativity has a vibrant SVDP conference that has been quietly serving the needy in the Scituate community for over 65 years. Our mission is to offer friendship, compassion and financial support to any Scituate resident facing difficult times. SVDP works diligently to collect funds needed to meet and support our neighbors who are facing unexpected hardship. We support all neighbors in need regardless of religious affiliation, race or ethnic background.
Our motto is to "see the face of Christ, and be the face of Christ".
Your support is needed!
Please join us for our first Saint Mary's Conference Friends of the Poor Walk to raise awareness and much needed funds for our cause.
Our walk will be held on Saturday, October 4th and follow a scenic route from St Mary's Parish Center to the Lighthouse and back. Walkers can choose to follow the entire route, or turn around at any time along the way.
A virtual participation is an option if you are not able to join us in person. Simply register and share your page with friends and family.
The event starts with sign in at 8:30AM and the walk begins at 9:30am. Tee shirts will be given to the first 100 registrants!
Invite your family and friends to join you for this fun event. We are in need of volunteers, walkers, sponsors and donations!
Our hope is to register 100 walkers each with a suggested goal of raising $100; it would be a blessing to greatly exceed that goal!
All support is deeply appreciated and every step counts in helping those facing financial difficulties.
All donations collected go directly to helping our Scituate neighbors and make an invaluable difference in their lives by alleviating hardship and preserving dignity.
Please join us in making this fun event a huge success! Thank you!
