From the Organizer
Join Space Coast Runners for our upcoming Summer Sweat & Speed Session Training Camp which will run from May 19, 2026 - July 3, 2026. This comprehensive training program is geared towards all running levels, including a run/walk program with a personalized schedule delivered through Final Surge. The camp goal race is the Firecracker 5K* on July 4th. Participants do NOT need to be running the race to participate as we'll have runners with different goals ranging from 2 mile to simply working on picking up their pace! Coaching will be conducted by Kaitlin Donner and designated pace leaders. Questions regarding the training camp? Email info@newwavept.com.
Evening Sessions will be held on Tuesdays at 6PM rotating between the Satellite Beach South Housing Loop, Eau Gallie Causeway and local high school tracks, and on Sundays at 6AM at rotating locations.
Morning Sessions will be held on Wednesdays at 5:30AM. The schedule is tentatively:
5/20: Satellite Housing Loop
5/27: Viera HS Track
6/3: Eau Gallie Causeway
6/10: Costco
6/17: Satellite HS Track
6/24: Eau Gallie Causeway
7/1: Satellite Housing loop
Please note - both Evening & Morning Session camps will run together at 6AM each Sunday at rotating locations.
Athletes will receive:
BONUS! Add a 1-hour group strength session each week at New Wave PT & Sports Rehab. These workout sessions address common strength and mobility imbalances in distance runners.
NEW! Add a total running form and gait analysis by Coach Kaitlin of New Wave PT & Sports Rehab. This will provide participants with a recommendations report and exercises on how to run better, move more efficiently and stay injury free.
This camp is open to both Space Coast Runners members and non-members. Register early to receive the best pricing. Rates increase on May 4, 2026. *Registration for the Firecracker 5K is not included with camp registration.
