Route Layout (Overview)
The 3.5 mile course is a loop, starting and ending at the Hoxie School. The course follows paved public roads, a designated campground road, and the Cape Cod Canal bike path.
🟢 Start/Finish Area – Ella F. Hoxie School
Start line and finish arch located in front of the Hoxie School.
➡️ Segment 1: Williston Road to Scusset Beach Road
Runners leave the Hoxie, turn right on Williston Road.
Proceed north on Williston, then turn right onto Scusset Beach Road.
Runners will stay to the right shoulder. Volunteers with signs will be placed at intersections.
➡️ Segment 2: Scusset Beach Road to Campground
Follow Scusset Beach Road to the entrance of Scusset Beach Campground.
Runners will enter and continue through the internal paved road loop.
➡️ Segment 3: Campground to Canal Path
Runners exit the campground via the footpath and transition onto the Cape Cod Canal Bike Path.
The route turns right onto the canal path, heading toward the Sagamore Bridge.
➡️ Segment 4: Canal Path to Williston Road
Runners remain on the canal path until reaching the footpath connector to Williston Road.
Course turns right back onto Williston Road for the final stretch.
🔁 Finish Line: Return to Hoxie School
Runners head back up Williston Road and turn right to finish where they started.
