"Armstrong East Soccer Club is excited to be partnering with the Shannock Valley Community Festival to bring back the traditional 5K Run/Walk from years past, which we're calling the Running Goals 5K! Through the help of our many generous sponsors, we're using this event to not only build community with the festival events, but also to fundraise for our efforts in providing Soccer to the youth in our communities!
The race will follow the traditional course from years past, starting at the entrance to the community park, and traveling out Main St towards Numine to the midway point, and returning back that stretch. Along the route will be several water stations, with snacks & water available at the conclusion.
Awards will be given for 1st & 2nd place in each age group/gender, as well as 1st/2nd/3rd place overall for male & female runners.
All those who pre-register by July 6th will receive a free t-shirt, but registrations will be taken up through the day of the event."
