We are hitting a big milestone this year. Be apart of the 15th Annual Roopville Hornet 5K race on Saturday, September 19, 2026. This certified course offers the fun racing experience in Roopville with scenic rolling hills and pasture lands near the downtown. Proceeds benefit the PTO of Roopville Elementary School. If you are registering as a student between the ages of 1-17 the price is automatically reduced to $15 and applied during the online check-out for the 5K race.
Important information to note:
Location- Roopville Elementary School (RES)
Packet pickup: Friday at the elementary school from 2:20-5 pm and beginning race day at 7am along with race day registration at 7am
Dash to the Finish: 8:00 am
Roopville Hornet 5K: 8:30 am
Pelican's Sno Balls and local food truck.
Race day parking is available behind the elementary school. This is very convenient to both the start and finish line, please take advantage of this great area to park!
This race is USATF Certified Course: GA21017WC! Making it a Peachtree Road Race qualifier!
Awards will be given to the following male and female age divisions in the 5K race: Awards are based on chip timing.
9 and under, 10-11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. As well as awards to top Overall Male and Female Finisher based upon gun time.
Dash to the Finish awards to the top three finishers and ribbons to all who participate.

Race t-shirts are available to all pre-registered 5K runners. Participants that register by 8/22/2026 are guaranteed a race shirt. If registering after this date does not guarantee correct shirt size or shirt may not be available. Register early for an awesome race shirt to support and market Roopville Elementary School!
Race Day festivities are a fundraising event and planned whether rain or shine. No refunds available as this is considered a donation to the RES PTO.
