A local Classic through the heart of Irondequoit, NY
10K Race / 2 Mile Family Fun Run

START LINES FOR BOTH RACES WILL STILL BE AT TOWN HALL. PACKET PICKUP WILL BE AT THE TOWN HALL**  
BATHROOMS ARE AVAILABLE AT THE START LINE AT THE TOWN HALL
RACE BOTH THE 2-Mile and 10K if you choose!**

When:

  • Saturday, July 4, 2026

Start times:

  • 7:45 am - 2 Mile Race
  • 8:15 - 10K Race **1.5 Hour Time Limit** 

Where:

  • Parking is at Town Hall
  • *Race start and finish lines are at the Irondequoit Town Hall
  • Bathrooms near the start/finish lines at the town hall.
  • Race Day Packet Pickup is at Town Hall.

Cost:

  • 10K
    • $35 (race open – June 31)
    • $40 (July 1- Day of Race)
  • 2 Mile Fun Run
    • $25 (race open– June 31)
    • $30 (July 1- Day of Race)
  • Both Races! We extended the time between races so that you can do both races if you choose! There is a 30 minute time difference between the races so you will need to complete the 2-mile in 25 minutes if you choose to do both.

Your Race Registration Includes:

  • Chip timing
  • Race Shirts (for both 10K and 2-mile) -- Sign up by June 20 to guarantee your size 
  • 10K Prize/Awards Categories:
    • Overall 1st, 2nd, 3rd place Male and Female
    • Overall 1st place Male and Female Masters (40+)
  •  10K Recognition Categories:
    • 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for Male and Female in each age group:
    • 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49,50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+

 

Packet Pickup:

    • July 2nd --12pm- 6pm - Rochester Running Company (1387 Mt Hope Ave Rochester NY 14620)
    • July 3rd -- 5:30pm-7pm - Irondequoit Rec Center- Out front of the recreation center (450 Skyview Centre Pkwy Suite 200, Rochester, NY 14622)

    • July 4-RACE DAY -- 6:15am - 7:30am- Irondequoit Town Hall (1280 Titus Ave)- Under tents near the start and finish lines

Aid Stations/Post Race:

  • Three water stops on course, plus water and post-race food available.

4th of July Road Closures:

  • Kings Hwy will close at 7:30 a.m. starting at Titus for the 10K race/2 Mile Fun Run. This route should reopen around 9:00 a.m.
  • Titus Avenue will close between Portland Ave and Kings Hwy starting at 7:30 a.m. and will reopen after the parade concludes, roughly 1:30 p.m.

Parking:

  • Race participants can park at the Town Hall
  • Some surrounding businesses may provide their lots for parking depending on availability.
  • Please remain aware and safe when parking on town streets.

Race day energy at a 10K is community at its best — strangers cheering you by name, people moving toward the same goal, an atmosphere that solo training can't replicate. It's fast enough that you'll spend the whole race pushing rather than managing your effort.

This is also the distance that builds the base for everything else. Most athletes who go on to run half marathons, do triathlons, or compete in HYROX started here. What you need: running shoes fitted to your stride, a training plan, and the race on your calendar. The registration is what makes the deadline real.
