From the Organizer
The East High Math 7 team is bringing learning to life by turning a classroom project into a real-world event. As part of their math unit, students design a mock walkathon.
While this is the second year of the project, it’s the first year bringing it to life as a real event! Students will apply math skills like budgeting, goal-setting, and data tracking while working together to raise money and make their event a meaningful, community-supported success.
By supporting EquiCenter, students are not only practicing real-world math but also contributing to a mission that provides life-changing equine-assisted services to individuals with disabilities, veterans, and the broader community. Having EquiCenter’s partnership gives this project a deeper purpose - connecting classroom learning to real impact and showing students how their efforts can make a difference beyond school walls.
