The Harborfest Festival is summertime, lakeside festival at Ontario Beach Park, celebrating over 200 years of the historic lighthouse and Monroe County.  Among the many activities available that weekend join us for the Harborfest 5K and 10K.  The courses take in the northern portion of the popular Genesee River Trail, the Marina and finishes beachside.  The 10k traverses the beautiful Genesee River boardwalk at Turning Point Park

 

*Please Note: If you are signed up for the combo, you must be finished with the 5K before the 10K begins at 9AM

 

By registering for this event, you are acknowledging that the date, time, location, and distance of the race may be changed, switched to virtual, or canceled at any time as deemed necessary by the Race Directors due to circumstances beyond their control. Race day energy at a 10K is community at its best — strangers cheering you by name, people moving toward the same goal, an atmosphere that solo training can't replicate. It's fast enough that you'll spend the whole race pushing rather than managing your effort.

This is also the distance that builds the base for everything else. Most athletes who go on to run half marathons, do triathlons, or compete in HYROX started here. What you need: running shoes fitted to your stride, a training plan, and the race on your calendar. The registration is what makes the deadline real.

How long to train: 4–8 weeks for most fitness levels.
